Static and dynamic eccentricity fault diagnosis of large salient pole synchronous generators by means of external magnetic field

چکیده

Although synchronous generators are robust and long-lasting equipment of power plants, consistent electricity production depends on their health conditions. Static dynamic eccentricity faults among the prevalent that may have a costly effect. several methods been proposed in literature to detect static salient pole (SPSGs), they non-sensitive low degree failure require predefined threshold recognise fault occurrence vary based machine configuration. This article presents detailed magnetic analysis SPSGs with by focusing external field. The field was measured using two search coils installed backside stator yoke. Also, advanced signal processing tools wavelet entropy were used analyse induced electromotive force (emf) extract index. index required no starting point sensitive fault. It also load variation noise induce false alarm.
